K-Will Corporation and KDDI Labs USA Integrate North American Operations
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - September, 24th, 2004 — K-WILL Corporation, a video quality monitoring and measurement company announced that it will be combining its US operations with KDDI Labs USA in Palo Alto, CA effective October 1st, 2004.
K-WILL is the US subsidiary of KDDI Media Will, a venture spinout initiative of KDDI Corporation, Japan's second largest telecom service provider. K-WILL was incorporated in 2003 to develop business with video professionals in the content creation, authoring, archiving, and distribution of video materials, in North America and Europe.

K-WILL's VP21S, TSI-2000 and TMax-2000 offer the professional video industry the ability to distribute real-time video quality monitoring technology throughout their entire network or business infrastructure. Supporting the deployment of new video services and maintaining Quality of Service "QoS" commitments are key requirements for content providers, network operators and video service providers. The use of K-WILL technology gives video professionals a 24/7 real-time view of the health of their video content and systems.
K-WILL TSI-2000 and TMax-2000 products are designed to meet the need for real-time video quality monitoring of MPEG-2 video streams in the networks of broadcasters, network operators, cable TV companies, satellite service providers, telecommunications companies transmitting video, post-production companies and equipment manufacturers. The VP21S is a powerful system for detailed measurement and comparison of a test source and reference videos. It performs more than 240 real-time measurements on each frame of video and offers unique pixel-by-pixel visual comparisons. The VP21S is well suited to encoder/decoder evaluations, broadcast system quality evaluations, dubbing and DVD authoring/evaluation.
