President's Message
K-WILL Japan was established in August, 1999 as the first in-house venture start-up company of KDDI, Japan's leading telecommunications company. K-WILL is now a subsidiary of MediaTek.
Our core competence is Video DNA Technology, which extracts the most essential information from digital images. It is based on our unique image compression technology, which evolved from basic research conducted at KDDI R&D Laboratories over a period of more than 30 years. Applying Video DNA Technology, K-WILL conducts research and product development, markets video and audio measurement and monitoring devices, and offers solutions to assist our customers to achieve the highest digital image quality distribution in the digital entertainment business.
Our main products, the VP21 Series and the QuMax-2000, have been highly evaluated by industry experts and introduced by many Japanese broadcasters, production studios, manufacturers and R&D labs. K-WILL has been recognized as the pioneer in providing advanced, real-time digital video and audio evaluation technology, and has received numerous technical awards, including the International Emmy Award.
In the fall of 2003, we launched K-WILL Corporation, a subsidiary based in Los Angeles, California, to develop our business in international markets. We hope to serve our customers with the highest standards of services and continous technological improvements by creating a strong US-based sales and engineering team. Please contact any of the K-WILL representatives; together, we can create new standards in digital imaging.
