Customer Support Engineer
K-WILL Corporation is expanding its US presence and is looking for a Technical Customer Support individual. We are the US marketing arm of a design and manufacturing company headquartered in Japan. Our products serve the Broadcast, Cable, Satellite and Telco video markets. We develop high quality test and measurement equipment and are looking for someone to support US customers after the sale.
Primary Responsibilities:
Answer and return telephone calls involving customer inquiries for K-WILL video quality measurement and monitoring equipment. These calls may be for helping new and/or potential customers with operation of the equipment after purchase or during product evaluation. Calls may also involve answering technical repair or troubleshooting questions in a timely manner. This person will be responsible for documenting the results of these calls including version and serial numbers and all trouble ticket information. They will also help with creating/editing manuals and training documents.
Candidate will be trained in all functionality and operation of K-WILL products and should be technically-minded and an interested learner.
Other Duties:
- Testing and setting up demo equipment and maintaining a test lab.
- Occasionally going to a customer’s site for installation or performing upgrades.
- Assistance in administrative functions as needed to support the Director of Sales & Technologies.
- Shipping / receiving as required.
Required Skills:
Must have 3 - 4 years of video experience, preferably in professional broadcast, satellite or cable operations and especially engineering and maintenance. Minimum education of technical Associates Degree or equivalent experience required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Computer experience and familiarity with common programs. K-WILL is a startup company in the US and this person will wear many hats as needed to help the business grow. US citizenship or resident alien card required.
Other helpful skills but not required: Typing, spreadsheets, database management, website updates, bi-lingual (Japanese/English) is a plus.

Research and Product Development Engineer
At least 3 years of experience in software development (application software, embedded software for Motorola CPUs, and SNMP implementation). Digital video and audio signal processing experience required. Algorithm development experience preferred. MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Must be comfortable working in international environment (parent company is a Japanese entity) at a start-up company. Requires strong leadership skills to initiate new projects.
